Terms & Conditions  

The Organizer

  1. This photo contest is organized by PCP Publications.

 

The Contestant

  1. This contest is open to all Malaysians citizens or permanent residents of Malaysia age 18 years and above.
  2. Contestant must be the photographer who captured the images and he/she must own all rights to the photographs submitted for this contest. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure all images that they submit do not infringe the copyright, trademark, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any other person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the photographs.
  3. It is the responsibility of the contestant to ensure that any photo that they submit has the permission of the subject(s) respectively.
  4. By submission of an entry, the contestant agrees to abide by all the terms and conditions set forth.
  5. Employees of PCP Publications are not eligible to participate.

 

The Submission

  1. The submitted photos must be taken during the KLPF Preview 2015 session.
  2. All participants need to submit entries with Name, IC No, Email Address, Contact No and the location of KLPF Model Shoot Challenge League.
  3. The contest photographs shall be 300 dpi resolution and printable up to 12’’ x18’’.
  4. Any non-compliant entry will be disqualified.
  5. Images must not have any borders or film edges, name, personal logo or watermark.
  6. All participants may send in any number of entries. Only JPEG image (300dpi resolution) accepted.
  7. The submission dateline is 1 August 2015.
  8. In the event a dispute arises regarding the authenticity of the winning entry, the organizer reserves the right to automatically disqualify the said entry.

General

  1. The prize winners will be decided by a panel of judges.
  2. The organizer reserves the right to exclude or withdraw any photo/submission from the contest that is deemed inappropriate in content or that, for any reason, the display of the images which could be at risk of breaching the law.
  3. Copyright of all images submitted for this contest remains with the respective photographers.
  4. By participating in this photo contest, you hereby grant the organizers the rights to use, reproduce, adapt, publish and feature any or all of the winning images in any of their publicity and/or publications, in print or electronic, and any other media for the purpose of advertising and promotion related to Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival without any consideration or payment to you.
  5. There will be no acknowledgement of receipt of entries.
  6. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupted entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission/postage will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
  7. The organizer will provide one (1) night accommodation for finalists during the final session of KLPF Model Shoot Challenge League at Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival 2015.
  8. Results of the contest will be announced during Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival.
  9. The Grand Prize winner and finalists are required to submit full resolution images and other necessary particulars upon notification.
  10. All decisions by the organizer and competition judges are final. No queries will be entertained.
  11. Any dispute and interpretation regarding the selection of the winning entries shall be settled at the discretion of the organizer and shall be based on the English version of the Terms and Conditions.
  12. Prizes are not transferable, not exchangeable for cash or other prizes of similar values.
  13. The information submitted by the contestant during the registration process e.g. name, email address, etc. will only be used by the organizer in accordance with their Personal Data Protection Policy, for the purposes of administrating your participation in the photo contest.
  14. The organizer reserved the rights to change any terms and conditions or cancel the photo contest at any time, at its sole discretion.
