Terms & Conditions
Description:
OPPO Malaysia (“OPPO”) and Tourism Malaysia have embarked on a collaboration to promote and encourage Malaysians to capture the beauty and cultural colours of Malaysia. Under the current restriction of RMCO, with overseas travel being prohibited, it is time to rediscover the hidden beauty of Malaysia from a whole new perspective.
OPPO is proud to introduce “Be A RENOgrapher Photography Contest” (“Contest”) to encourage users to explore the beauty and diverse cultures of Malaysia, whilst unleashing the inner passion in photography. KLPF is a supporting partner of this contest.
1.Contest Period
The Contest shall commence on 18 November 2020, Wednesday, 8:00 (GMT +00:00) for a period of one (1) month ending 20 December 2020, Sunday, 23:59 (GMT +08:00). All photos submitted after the due date shall not be accepted and participation shall be deemed invalid.
2.Participants
The Contest is open to Malaysians, aged 13 and above only (both OPPO and Non-OPPO users are eligible to participate).
3.Campaign Mechanics
3.1 The Campaign is divided into four (4) categories, running simultaneously:
Clearly Your Best Night
A captivating scene in low-light conditions
As the name suggests, this theme considers photos showcasing the beauty of Malaysia at night or any low light condition. It could be the best night scene or night portrait, any scene of the ambient city or of you posing with the Petronas Twin Towers beneath the stars. Discover the beauty near you safely
Clearly Your Best Portrait
Using portraiture to experiment with identity
As for this category, your photo is required to have a real person and not people that are in paintings, poster, stickers, mannequins etc. Take time and appreciate people closest to you and they just might be your muse.
Clearly Your Best Creativity
Turning the usual unusual; flipping the familiar
“Creative” is a word of endless possibilities. Take a photo of something out of the norm that puts things in a different perspective, be it a false perspective or a fresh perspective. For example, an upside-down building, or even using everyday objects at home such as a spoon or a hanger and let your imagination run wild and show us what creative means in this category.
Clearly Your Best Landscape
An inspiring landscape scene: nature or urban
Your friendly neighbourhood park could also be a source of inspiration, kampung roads, ponds, forests, paddy fields, buildings, or even cityscapes all fall under this category.
4. How to participate:
Step 1
Capture attractive photos with your smartphone in the following categories.

Like Facebook page of OPPO @malaysiaoppo and Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival @KLPFMalaysia.
Step 3
A. For OPPO users:
a) Enable the OPPO watermark function (if available) in Camera Settings before taking photos.
b) Post photo in the discussion of “BE A RENOGRAPHER” event on KLPF Facebook Page.
c) Hashtag #BeRENOgrapherxOPPO
d) Hashtag category (as mentioned in Step 1)
e) Hashtag #OPPOxKLPF
B. For non-OPPO users
a) Disable any watermark from your phone.
b) Post photo in the discussion of “BE A RENOGRAPHER” event on KLPF Facebook Page.
c) Hashtag #BeRENOgrapher
d) Hashtag category (as mentioned in Step 1)
e) Hashtag #OPPOxKLPF
Step 4
PM your name and mobile phone number to Facebook @KLPFMalaysia.
Wait for announcement of category winners after the contest period.
4.1 Participants are encouraged to take part and submit multiple entries to both OPPO and the Participating Partner’s respective platform.
5. Prizes
4x OPPO RENO 4 (for OPPO users)
4x OPPO Enco W31 (for non-OPPO users)
5.1 One (1) winner from each category for OPPO users and non-OPPO users will be selected after the closing date 20 December 2020.
5.2 OPPO reserves the right to substitute any of the prize with item(s) of equivalent value without prior notice and reason assigned thereto.
5.3 Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable in any other form.
6. Organizer’s Decision
6.1 The Organizer reserves the right to vary Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice to the participants and the participants agree that he/she shall be bound by such Terms & Conditions and any subsequent variation.
6.2 The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant(s) that it determines to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be in breach or potential breach of these Terms & Conditions. The Organizer assumes no responsibility for late entries due to any reasons including, but not limited to, network transmission failure.
6.3 All decisions made by the Organizer pertaining to the process and manner the scores are counted shall be final and no appeal, query or complaint shall be entertained.
6.4 The Organizer reserves the rights to use participants’ personal details, contents, pictures, photos or images for publicity and promotional purposes online and offline without any prior notification.
6.5 The participants agree and gives consent to the Organizer for the use of his/her personal data provided for the purposes of participation in the Contest in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and other applicable laws, to the extent any personal data provided shall only be processed and used by the Organizer for lawful purposes directly related to the Contest, including but not limited to the purposes of promotional events, advertising, marketing and any administrative matters to facilitate the management and organization of the Contest.
6.6 The Organizer shall not be responsible for any loss or damage directly or indirectly incurred by the participants or any party in connection or arising from the acts or omissions related to this Contest.
